I am a professional writer for theatre and magazines and I have known Jade for many years, offering her advice from time to time as she was growing into her work as a writer. Jade is a cousin of mine, so I’ve known her a LONG time. She is incredibly intelligent, but very down to Earth, I used to really look up to her when I was a kid. She’s great at explaining complex topics in a way that’s easily understandable to the layperson. Just one example, I’ve learned so much about nuclear power from casual conversation with her. I know she made for a great TA while she was getting her masters, she was so enthusiastic about her role as a teacher and she talked about it often. I know from experience some people treat that role like an obligation, but Jade really embraced it and loved it. Also, for what it’s worth, she’s a lovely person overall, funny, kind, genuine. I know she’d excel at any teaching position that came her way. She’s not just smart, she’s passionate about a wide range of subjects and her enthusiasm is infectious.
