About Aya

I graduated from high schools with exceptional grades in Chemistry. My teachers and Student Life Organisation program in school have always included me in mentoring sessions for the weaker students who need the help. With my high grades, passion for teaching, and aim to make Chemistry easy, I plan to tutor the students who seek help and help them towards success by detailed explanations and my willingness to help them deeply grasp the concepts they need to learn.

I enjoy the satisfaction that comes with grasping a concept or method that I was unable to before. This is why I want to spread my help so that other students can achieve their goals and view Chemistry for what it is; a simple subject. I believe that possessing knowledge is completely useless unless you can part it to others who need it and can do something with it.

I got started teaching in school when I was interested in the academic department. My teachers all thought I was a natural, as I have the compassion and the patience that students look for in a teacher. I have the charisma it takes to keep students engaged in a lesson, and I am knowledgeable enough to take on this role.

I spent 10 years in school as a "Shadow Teacher", which is a position given to a student capable of taking o a teacher's place when they couldn't make it to a lesson. I was given the responsibility of holding mentoring sessions for students who needed the extra help, and my students always improved and showed higher results.

About the lesson

I like to begin with a discussion about why they are seeking a tutor's help, followed by a series of quizzes so that I can locate their exact level. If the student is comfortable enough, I'd ask for their school report cards. I would talk to a new student and try to understand their struggles from their point of view so that I'm able to work with them effectively in the future. After I've gathered all the information I need, I proceed to build a lesson plan.

I worked with students who were achieving below average results and needed a boost so that they could get back on track. In addition, I've worked with students who simply wanted to get ahead of the game.

Search for a teacher who understands you and is willing to take you through the ups and downs. Most people believe that Chemistry is all about memorization, but you need a teacher who actually understands all of the mechanisms and is willing to patiently teach them to you.
