About Tori
During my second year of my Master's degree program in medical science at Boston University, I had the pleasure of working as a teaching assistant and a tutor for a histology and anatomy class. I had about four to five students to tutor individually at any given time, and usually we met for 2 hours a week.
I really enjoyed my experience as both a TA and a tutor mostly because I like talking about science (big anatomy nerd here), but also because I got to observe just how differently people learn.

First I like to get to know my student; what kind of things do they like? What are they interested in learning? How do they feel about the material we will be working on?
I also try to get a general picture of what studying habits they have and what they found works best for them in the past. Around this point we usually try to put together a study plan.
Overall, I encourage studying material in a different way than how a student is normally accustomed to, but it depends on the student themselves.
