About Catherine
I have a passion for helping and working with students so that they can learn and understand the concepts of the subject. My services include one-on-one tutoring in chemistry, mathematics, and biological and physical sciences up to the college level. Since I have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, I am proficient in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry. During my four years in college, I have taught chemistry to my peers and mentees during study group events and held academic workshops for Seeds of Success. I have received several merit awards in chemistry, including the University Academic Excellence Award in Chemistry. I am willing to work with my students and figure out which strategies work best for their learning and success. I understand chemistry is a difficult subject to study, but I will try to make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible. I believe that having a positive attitude is key when it comes to learning a subject.
I am passionate about helping students and peers in their academic journey. I enjoy interacting with students on a one-to-one basis and mentoring them in their studies. It gives me great joy to see a student's face when the topic suddenly makes sense to him or her. That "Ah-ha" or Eureka moment makes all the hard work and effort put into teaching students even more satisfying and gratifying. I hope to make the learning experience as fun and enjoyable as possible. I want to be there for my students as their support and companion during every step of the journey
