About Tristan
Hello! I'm Tristan and I am a recent graduate of Eckerd College where I earned a B.S. with high honors in Marine Biology and minored in Applied Mathematics, Chemistry and Environmental Studies. Durning my time at Eckerd I spent three years as a math tutor forcusing on supjects ranging from Precalculus to Calculus II. Before my time in college I worked as a math tutor for an independent study during my senior year where I tutored subjects from Algebra I to AP Calculus.
Currently I am an intern at Mote Marine Laboratory where I am spending my gap year researching marine fin fish aquaculture before I begin graduate school in the Fall. However, I have noticed that I miss working with students in helping them better understand subjects that they may find dificult. I also know that during these Covid times remote learning can be hard so I would like to provide a resource to help.
Although I have the most experience as a math tutor, I also have a wide range of experience in biology, environmental studies, and chemistry that would love to use to help your student!

The best feeling is when you are working with a student on something they dont understand and they get that ah-ha moment where it just clicks. It does not matter to me how long that takes or how many different ways I may have explain something, when it clicks I'm happy!
