About Rachel
Love helping!! Math and Science are my favorite but I am well rounded:) I have completed math up to differential equations and science up to organic chemistry 2! I worked as a professional math tutor for a year. I have a lot of experience with kids with ADHD and those on the spectrum. I love working with all different ages. The kids that I have tutored in the past have seen huge improvements in their grades, and I see huge improvements in their self esteem.
I love to see the students grow confidence in themselves. Many students feel crippled or embarassed when they are unable to understand and grasp certain concepts. No matter the age, elementary or high school, math and science concepts build on each other so it is really important to me for the student to have a good underestand of what they are doing before they move on.
I have always had a fondness of working with students. Growing up, I always loved helping my peers and teaching them. As I have gotten older, I have really grown to love teaching. I love to see students grow in confidence. Mentorships were really important to me growing up, and having someone older than you that also has respect for you is super important. My mom was an engineer and then got her masters in teaching and taught Calculus, so maybe I am just following in her foot steps!
Biomedical and Mechanical engineering student with a minor in math and chemistry! I have taken years of math and chemistry classes and am very confident in my knowledge for these courses. I absolutely love workign with kids and have worked at an overnight camp with them. I worked at Mathnasium as a math tutor for a year and know the ins and outs of tutoring. Whether the student is shy or outgoing, I am confident that we will be able to work well together. I do my best to create a comfortable environment for the student; I am always doing my best to be of benefit to them!

Happy to help any students of any age! I love all subjects, but excel at math and science! I am a chemical and biomedical engineering major and am also working towards my math and chemistry minor! When first approaching a student, it really depends on their confidence and age. I am here to be of benefit to the student. I like to discuss with them prior to meeting them about the things they are learning in school. We can then decide what approach works best for them. I do a lot of the material gathering for the student to provide them with more practice and a better understanding. Currently I am working virtually but this fall I will be able to meet in person or virtual. When we work virtually together, I am able to share my screen and provide the students with practice problems and notes that we can work through together.
I have worked with all types of students. At Mathnasium, I worked with anywhere from kindergarten to college math courses. I focused a lot on upper level high school chemistry as well last semester. I have worked with students with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. I am open to work with any and all students. I am here to serve you!

Rachel’s expertise in chemistry were extremely helpful for me. Details
I charge 25-30 dollars per hour depending on the course and grade level for student. I also do SAT prep for 35 dollars per session in which we will prepare for the math portion of the SAT!
