About Odetta
SAT Verbal, ACT Verbal, and TOEFL Online Test Prep Instructor
With 8 years of experience in the field of education, I bring a background in direct instruction and assessment development to my online classes.
I am a high SAT test scorer (1600/1600 for combined SAT Reading and Writing/Language sections), a developer of mock assessments (including mock SAT and ACT), and an experienced test prep and ELL instructor.
My lessons provide students with constructive test-taking strategies that can be practically applied - first within a supportive, scaffolded lesson, and then later during independent practice.
I am excited to help you achieve your ideal test score!

1) Discuss goals, previous assessment experience, timeline, and perceived growth areas with student.
2) Provide overview of test procedures and structure as well as general test-taking strategies.
3) Have student take a mock/practice assessment.
4) Review incorrect answers with student.
5) Place incorrect answers into categories based on language domains (TOEFL) and question structure and objectives (SAT, ACT, and TOEFL).
6) Have student complete practice and review strategies for answering these specific question types.
7) Continue to target and reassess growth areas while reviewing strategies and providing practice for all aspects of assessment.
