About Samuel

I have tutored on and off for over ten years, starting as a freshman in college and moving on to work exclusively for various elite tutoring firms, as well as tutoring in an individual capacity.

I have scored in the top 98th-99th percentile on the ACT and SAT and have helped students attain elite scores for both the ACT and SAT for competitive admission to the top colleges across the country.

I love to help students realize their potential and overcome mental roadblocks. I also pride myself on my ability to adapt to the student's needs based on their preferred or optimal learning style. I truly believe there are many ways to perform well on the standardized tests, and a tutor should be prepared to adapt to the student's specific set of skills and strengths.

I enjoy helping students overcome any limiting beliefs and to realize their true potential. Many times, students will come into sessions doubtful of their ability, and my job as a tutor is not just to help them memorize key concepts, which are important, but also to help provide them the tools to succeed as they continue on their academic and professional journeys.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and recently attained a law degree from Villanova Law School.

About the lesson

The first session I try to spend time developing rapport with the student and determining where their strengths and weaknesses lie.

It is very organic, though I will come prepared prior to the first session with a set of potential practice problems and sets depending on the conversations I have already had with the student and parent.

From there, I will devise a game plan for the next several sessions to cater to the student's goals.
