About Tiffany
Hello there! My name is Tiffany Sidney. I am a recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University where I received my California Multiple Subjects preliminary teaching credential, M.A in Educational Studies, and B.A. in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) with a concentration in Special Education. I have an insurmountable passion for teaching and have experience subbing in all grade levels and student-taught in 1st and 5th grade. I am a fun-loving, but get-down-to-business tutor who gets so much joy out of helping my students succeed. Below you can see my personal teaching website along with my LinkedIn!

My love for teaching started as early as third grade! I always envied my teacher's ability to write on the whiteboard and grade papers. Once I got to college, I knew this was the path for me!

-B.A. in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) with a concentration in Special Education
-Substitute Teacher in grades k-5, middle, and high school
-Student-taught 1st and 5th grade for eight weeks each
-Tutor at Seaside Learning Center (grades k-8)
-Private tutor for a kindergartener with an IEP.

As a teacher/tutor the most important thing is to establish a relationship with the student from the beginning so they feel comfortable expressing their concerns and I can incorporate their interests into what they are learning! I usually start off by doing a few informal assessments to see where they are at with the relevant content and then we will go from there!
I have worked with many types of students: IEPs, 504s, behavior intervention students, advanced students, k-5, and middle and high school students.
