About Brenna
I am about to finish my 4th year teaching elementary special education. I have my Master's in special education and would not trade my job for anything! I love seeing those "light bulb" moments with my students! Being able to share in their successes is always the highlight of my days!
I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was in elementary school. As I got older, I started volunteering with my former teachers and I was hooked! It wasn't until college when I was doing all my classroom hours that I discovered that I always gravitate towards the kids who are struggling and who have disabilities.
I have been teaching special education for the past 4 years. Prior to that, I worked at a childcare center for 4 years while I was in school.

I always start by simply getting to know the child and what they like and dislike about school, etc. I love having fun, so we will most likely play a game to help break the ice!
I have experience with students on the spectrum, learning disabilities, ADHD, physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral challenges.
