About Jeff
Dear Parents and Students, I am an experienced science teacher and tutor with a teaching certificate and more than 9 years of teaching/tutoring experience including at IB high schools and local colleges in Metro Vancouver. I have a Bachelor's in biology from a top American university, as well as a Master's in environmental engineering. I am passionate about science and strive to help students achieve their best in the subject, having also worked in research in a university geology lab for a few years. Having also had experience in science communication, engineering and energy fields, as well as health and safety, I can help students with actually connecting science to real-world jobs.

I strive to empower my students and strengthen their self-confidence, so they eventually will be able to learn effectively and efficiently by themselves. This includes providing materials and activities where students can learn from, recognize, and correct their mistakes before their actual classroom assessment. I also strongly believe in making science useful, relatable and fun. Many of my students have achieved at least a grade improvement.
