About Amy
Having taught A level students for five years in different settings as well as nine years of one-to-one tutoring, I have a wide range of experience and can help students struggling in Chemistry. Not only am I a qualified teacher, I also studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge, obtaining a First. I have also worked in a real chemistry laboratory. Tutoring with me involves me asking you questions, preparing exam questions and explaining things you're stuck on. I have made resource booklets designed to help you easily revise and make sure you have covered every inch of the syllabus. I am very supportive and encouraging. I think most of the job of a tutor is to build confidence so the student feels they can have a go at anything thrown their way. Understanding what you're covering in class so that you have confidence to go into the next lesson and know that you'll be able to understand it really helps! Amy tutored me for AS Chemistry and Biology. She was really good at explaining concepts and I found her summary sheets very helpful. I enjoyed the tutoring sessions very much and am sure I wouldn't have done as well in my exams without her tutoring.
