About Xander
Alongside my work as first violinist of the award winning Elmore String Quartet, teaching has become a passion for me. Not only is it inspiring to help somebody find their own voice through music, I personally learn a lot about my own playing through problem solving with my students.
I teach chamber music as a Junior Fellow at the Royal Northern College of Music, a role that allows me to teach conservatoire level students. I have also been invited to work at Chethams School to deliver workshops on String Quartet playing.

I believe that every student deserves a tutor that listens to them. No two players are the same, and so I practise a collaborative approach to teaching, in order to find the most suitable solutions to each individual or group.
I am offering lessons to adults (18+) of all abilities, including beginners.
