About Antoinette
I have 5+ years experience working with students in K-12 grade in multiple subject areas. Originally from Florida with a certification in Elementary Education with a Reading and ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement. As well as certification in New Jersey Elementary Education, K-12 ESL Certification and Reading Certification. Prior to teaching I was a Director, Manager and Trainer at Chick-fil-A for more than 10 years working with employees on communication, organizational, comprehension skills needed on a daily basis.

It is important to get to know the student's needs, interests and learning styles to make learning and understanding information most effective. As a learner, you learn the best when you are interested, engaged, able to make personal connections and challenge your mind. That is how I approach my teaching method. I learn about you as a student: your favorite subjects, your learning style, topics of interest. Then develop your lessons specific to your needs while keeping it interesting, fun, and a learning experience you will remember.
I have experience teaching and tutoring students with basic reading skills needs (alphabet, phonics, reading rules), comprehension, writing, math K-8, science K-8 and social studies K-8, state test and college test preparation 3-12.
