About Willa
One of the most important things in my life is, and has always been, storytelling, which led me to study teaching English in university. That love for storytelling has never died out and has only grown since I was young. In English Language Arts, everything starts with that love of the story, whether it's a book, a movie, a play, a video game, or anything else. I've guided ELA students through provincial exams with a high success rate and proven growth in student confidence.

My teaching methodology focuses on making connections with what's relevant to you. When the content is connected in such a manner, it improves understanding and helps you retain the knowledge. As a tutor, I focus on what you need to help you learn and meeting you where you're at. If there is no foundation, the path forward is only more difficult. So, we'll build that foundation together. My lessons are for ages 12+, specifically for English Language Arts and its related fields such as Creative Writing, but also for Social Studies and History. Each session will be custom built for your needs and start with what you need help with most, unless otherwise requested.
