About Stuart
I am a primary school teacher that has taught across all primary year groups in small, village schools to large, three form entry schools. In my current school, I lead both English and Maths.
Since I started teaching, I have been tutoring and have experience both with individuals and small groups.

When teaching maths, I ensure a follow a mastery approach. In face-to-face lessons, I ensure physical manipulatives are used frequently to aid and cement understanding. As well as this, I ensure a wide variety of pictorial representations are used. In English, I use a sentence-stacking approach: showing children exactly how to build their writing sentence-by-sentence.
