I have over 35 years of experience teaching up to A Level and was Head of Chemistry and/or Head of Science for most of that time. I have taught at state schools as well as private schools both in the UK and abroad an excellent record of examination success.

I have really enjoyed the experience of one-to-one tutoring over the years as it allows you to tailor your approach to suit the individual. I believe good communication is the key to tutoring effectively and that teaching and learning is most effective when the sessions are as interactive as possible. Past paper exam question practice is of course important but I believe it is vital to ensure that a student firstly understands a topic thoroughly in order to apply this to providing answers that contain all the required detail.
