About Alexandra

I’ve always had a passion for learning, which led me to earn a First-Class degree in my Bachelor's from the University of Exeter. This academic foundation made pursuing a career in education a natural choice. My journey began during university, where I spent two summers in Italy working at English language camps. In 2018, I completed my PGCE in Secondary English at University of Cambridge. What I love most about tutoring is the opportunity to explore new perspectives on characters, spark creative thinking, and engage in thought-provoking discussions about language analysis. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students develop a deeper understanding of literature and language while building their confidence along the way.

About the lesson

I am deeply committed to enriching my students' understanding of the English language and literature. With both classroom teaching experience and one-on-one tutoring, I bring a personalised approach to every lesson. I believe that getting to know you and your goals is essential to effective lesson planning, and I strive to improve your skills while helping you gain confidence. My aim is to create a supportive and engaging environment where you feel excited and empowered to learn. My teaching style is friendly and thorough, and I particularly enjoy making grammar enjoyable. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students confidently master the tricky semi-colon! Whatever your goals may be, I’m here to guide you every step of the way
