About Robert
I am a native-speaker English instructor who has been teaching ESL and English for more than ten years -- especially 100s of satisfied Asian students in China and Malaysia at all levels. I have higher degrees in language teaching (MA & Postgraduate Certificate in TESOL). I have mentored many students who have learning difficulties, and I am friendly, helpful, approachable, and I give advice on how students can quickly improve all of their English skills and I also help students in preparing for tests such as IELTS and TOEFL.

My teaching method is to make students think for themselves without talking non-stop and boring them. I ask questions and make students think of interesting and engaging topics that will make the lessons go fast and also be interesting. This is called the Socratic Method and when combined with the Communicative Approach to language learning, allows students to not only learn more quickly, but to retain the knowledge that they learn.
