About India
I have only recently moved to New Zealand from Western Australia, Fremantle, to pursue my Bachelor of Nursing at ARA, and I absolutely love it. I am a people person who loves to chat and see how students grow, improve and gain confidence in the water.
In my free time, I love to read, hike, craft a new project or spend some time in the sun with my fiance at Hagley Park.

I was a competitive swimmer for over 10 years, patrolling as a Surf Life Saving at Leighton Beach and competing in the Ironwoman and ocean relays. Since then, I have taught swimming for the past six years and love it. Teaching a range of skills and ages with students from 3-month-olds to over 50s. I am currently teaching adults at a private swim school with small classes alongside my nursing studies. But, I have taught as part of the Australian Vac-swim programs with classes of 13 kids at the beach, and have had the pleasure to teach many special-needs students as well.
Whilst I have a fair bit of competitive swimming and racing experience, I have a very relaxed teaching style, focusing on enjoyment and love for the water in my lessons. However, if you would like to be a faster and more technically advanced swimmer, I would love to make that happen for you. Happy to teach siblings/friends in the same class, if that is easier for you!
