About Declan
Hi, I’m Declan—a Politics undergraduate currently based in the South-West of England. I specialise in A-Level Government & Politics and History, with a focus on building confidence, analytical thinking, and strong exam technique. I previously studied Human, Social, and Political Sciences (HSPS) at the University of Cambridge, attending in my first term before deciding to pursue a different academic path. I’ll be starting Political Science at the University of Amsterdam this September. Before taking Politics at A-level, I admit I was not extremely passionate about the subject—but as the course progressed and I saw the links between topic areas and real-world events, I came to love it. That shift helped me choose Politics as my degree subject, and it's why I’m passionate about helping students overcome the initial hurdles that can make A-level Politics feel overwhelming.
Credentials: A*A*A*A* at A-Level (including Politics and History)
- Former HSPS student at the University of Cambridge (attended for one term)
- Starting Political Science at the University of Amsterdam in September - Tutoring experience throughout secondary school
- Work experience in French primary school
