My tutoring approach is student-centred, focusing on breaking down complex engineering concepts into understandable segments. I use real-world examples from my professional experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer to make subjects like structural analysis, design principles, and civil engineering fundamentals more relatable. In my lessons, we’ll first ensure a strong understanding of the theory, and then we’ll work through practical examples to reinforce the concepts and apply them effectively.
I hold a First-Class BEng in Civil Engineering and a Distinction in MSc Structural Engineering from Cardiff University, bringing a solid academic foundation and practical experience to each lesson. My approach is adaptable to meet each student’s needs, whether they are university students working through degree courses in engineering or sixth form students interested in an introduction to civil or structural engineering.

Perfect! Mohamed is a great tutor who cares deeply about the subject he is teaching. When teaching he clearly shows 'the bigger picture' so that the student understands *why* they are carrying out a process. This is all backed up with highly detailed notes with excerpts from my own course material so it is tailored to my learning and degree. In just one short hour, Mohamed gave me confidence in a topic area I was struggling to grasp and I can prepare for my exam with peace in mind. Absolutely recommend Mohamed if you are looking for assistance with Structural Engineering topics.
