About Katarina

My name is Katarina Dulude and I am a recent graduate of the University of Glasgow with a master's degree in English Literature as well as an experienced tutor. I am a native English speaker, speak Spanish at a B2 level, and Portuguese at a B1 level. I want to teach, partly because I feel I use my Spanish less in the UK than I did in the U.S. and I would love to utilise it more here and ignite the same passion I have for it within my students. I also hope to do a PhD someday and am keen to gain more teaching experience.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I customize my lessons according to the needs of my students, measure progress, and cultivate an encouraging learning environment. I do not believe in cookie cutter same-size-fits-all lessons. I am neurodivergent and have experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to learn when lessons aren't being taught in ways that accommodate my learning styles and needs, and how discouraging it can be when you begin to struggle. That's why I work to ensure lessons are taught in ways that work for the unique learning styles of my clients.
Previously, I tutored at the Community College of Rhode Island, teaching Spanish levels A1-A2 to 18+ year olds, however, I also have informal tutoring experience helping my younger cousin with her lessons.
