About Alessandra
I am a recent graduate with an MA in Spanish Linguistics. I have been teaching Spanish and English for seven years. I have taught students of all ages from all over the world in private one-to-one lessons, small groups of 3-10 students and large groups of 27 students. I have taught in both private and public schools as well as online.

My teaching techniques are always evolving as I continue to instruct students with different backgrounds and needs, as well as teach in new environments. I use my students’ constructive feedback, learn from peers and continue to stay up on new and innovative teaching practices and pedagogies. One aspect of my teaching philosophy that will never change is the importance of a student-centered classroom.
One of my main practices is to plan and deliver lessons that are interesting and engaging for my students and myself. I strongly believe that if I enjoy the lesson and subject matter, my enthusiasm will transmit to my students. I develop activities that explore the cultural and linguistic elements of Spanish with energy, an open-mind and humor. My classes are communicative. Task-based activities are one of my favorite ways to have my students practice communicating in an in-person or online environment.
