About Layla

Part-time English GCSE tutor and Academic Support Worker (experienced in supporting individuals with SEND and SEMH).
I am a First Class English Literature and History graduate. I have worked as a tutor for the last year, focussing on skills-based learning and specialising in SEND and SEMH tutoring.
I have worked for multiple tutoring companies such as Get Further and Lunar Learning.

About the lesson

When it comes to humanities subjects, students require a patient, empathetic, and most importantly, tailored approach. Lessons will focus on building critical thinking and analysis skills. Lesson plans will be adapted to the individual's needs but may include: content quizzes (literature specific), reading followed by discussion, question deconstruction, source analysis, homework help, and essay structures. First session is free as it will consist of understanding the student's needs and working with them to develop the best strategy for them to succeed.
