About Clare
I am a qualified Teacher and AQA examiner with over 10 years experience of teaching English and Humanities subjects in Secondary schools, SEND and alternative provisions.
I have taught students of a variety of ages from Reception through to A-Level, and have extensive experience of teaching students with a variety of additional needs, supporting them to achieve meaningful qualifications.

For me, teaching is all about building relationships with students to build confidence and overcome any barriers to learning. Then it is about making learning accessible, appropriate and engaging, enabling students to realise and achieve their full potential and ultimately raising their levels of attainment.
There isn't one method or approach that meets the needs of all students, therefore lessons not only need to be dynamic and adaptable to the needs and responses of students but they also need to be personalised to the learning preferences of students to ensure engagement.
