About Shirley
A qualified secondary science teacher with a biology specialism, I have a practical science background and a PhD in cell biology. I have taught at primary, secondary and graduate level and enjoy helping students develop their knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts and to foster practical skills so they can explore and engage with science in the world around them.

A practical scientist and qualified science teacher, I take an interactive approach to build confidence and understanding of science concepts, using real world examples.
KS3 - build knowledge and understanding of fundamental science concepts by taking a curiosity approach
KS4 - combined or separate sciences, working with each topic to understand the core content; using exam questions to practise using knowledge to gain the most marks.
KS5 - building understanding to enable access to the subject content and using exam questions to ensure knowledge and skills are used to gain the best possible grades.
