About Jessica
A Zoology graduate originally, my passion has always been the sciences, in particular biology. I have been a science teacher since 2017, and been tutoring since 2019. For the past 2 years I have been an examiner with AQA. Friendly, approachable, I love finding roads in to help students of all abilities understand science, to better understand the world around them or get the grades they need to achieve their goals. lGBTQ+ friendly, massive nerd when it comes to reading, history, or D&D.

Evidenced based lessons, aimed at reactivating prior knowledge, then breaking down key concepts with the help of live modelling, making sure to apply to related exam questions, making good use of mark schemes to ensure knowledge is fully embedded. It is also important to link concepts across the wider science curriculum. Lessons delivered online, with ample time to ask questions.
