About Tammy
I am currently a retired teacher in Texas in the United States. I have 26 years of teaching experience, with 14 of those being in special education reading, I’ve worked with ages 3-18 at different times in my career. My degree is in Vocational Home Economics (Family and Consumer Science) from Texas Woman’s University. I have had many years of professional development, especially in reading.
I am also a mom of three girls and a grandmother of four boys. My husband and I live on 3 1/2 acres in a rural area. And my first book was published two months ago.

Before planning lessons, I evaluate the student’s academic strengths and weaknesses. With that data, I design a long-range plan for success. My techniques come in a wide variety, taking into account the type of learner.
