About Maggie
I am a certified teacher who finds joy in working with her students. My end goal of every session is to make sure my students have fun and are even just a little bit more confident in themselves. Lesson progress is shared with parents but otherwise remains confidential.

I use a multi-sensory approach to developing phonemic awareness to help students feel confident in their reading. A typical lesson starts with a quick warm up to get ready for the next tasks that build upon one another. Following that, I lead students through symbol imagery exercises to help develop the connection of sounds to their letters and words. Students progress through different word types and use this in application of reading in context about something they enjoy. I have worked with students in this method of reading for 5 years and have had students see great leaps in their reading ability and confidence.
