About Matthew
I want to teach psychology because it has shaped so much of who I am and how I see the world. Studying the subjects through two degrees gave me a deep appreciation for the complexity of human behaviour, but it was my years working in the field that truly grounded that knowledge in real people and real experiences. Over time, I found myself naturally stepping into a supportive role - explaining concepts to colleagues, helping others make sense of theories, and realising how much I enjoyed seeing that moment when something finally “clicked” for someone. Teaching feels like an extension of that instinct. It allows me to share what I’ve learned, not just from textbooks but from the practical, sometimes messy, always human side of psychology. Tutoring gives me the chance to help others grow in confidence, develop their own understanding, and hopefully feel the same sense of curiosity and connection that first drew me to the subject.
