About Chew Wuei

I specialise in IB Psychology, Cambridge International A-Level Psychology (9990), and university-level Psychology through to PhD level. My lessons focus on genuine understanding, critical evaluation and academic skills—not simply memorising notes.
I can support students with IB Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3, Cambridge 9990 examinations, research methods, statistics, academic writing, research proposals, dissertations and PhD research.
Lessons are tailored to your academic level and goals. For school students, I focus on conceptual understanding, evaluation and examination technique. For university and postgraduate students, I can provide more advanced guidance on research design, methodology, statistical analysis, academic writing and developing research ideas.
Whether you are preparing for an examination, completing a dissertation, developing a research proposal or undertaking PhD-level research, I provide structured guidance and individualised feedback.

About the lesson

I am a PhD graduate in Psychology from the University of Otago and a university Psychology lecturer with extensive teaching and tutoring experience. I have taught and supported students from pre-university through undergraduate, Master's and PhD levels, including IB and Cambridge A-Level Psychology.
My academic background combines Psychology, research methodology and statistical analysis, allowing me to support students at different stages of their academic journey. I particularly enjoy helping students develop the ability to think critically, construct strong arguments and apply psychological knowledge effectively.
I understand that students at different levels need different types of support. My teaching therefore adapts to the student's academic level, strengths, learning needs and goals.
