About Zoe
Hi, I'm Zoe! I'm a passionate and dedicated education student at the University of Queensland, currently completing a dual Bachelor of Education and Arts.
Alongside my university studies, I have gained valuable hands-on experience working as a Primary School Learning Support Officer and Lead Outside School Hours Care Educator. These roles have allowed me to work closely with children of different ages, abilities and learning needs, developing my skills in individualized learning support, behavior management and creating positive, inclusive learning environments.
I have experience supporting students both individually and in small groups, including children who require additional learning, behavioral or emotional support. I understand that every child learns differently and believe that patience, encouragement and building positive relationships are essential to helping students succeed.
I also hold a current Working with Children Blue Card and First Aid and CPR certifications, reflecting my commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment.
I pride myself on being approachable, reliable and enthusiastic. My goal is to help every student feel comfortable, capable and proud of their progress. Whether your child needs extra assistance with schoolwork, help building foundational skills or simply a confidence boost, I aim to make every tutoring session engaging, encouraging and rewarding.

I believe every child learns differently, and my approach to tutoring focuses on creating a supportive, encouraging and engaging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and develop their skills at their own pace.
As a University of Queensland student studying a dual Bachelor of Education and Arts, I have gained valuable knowledge of teaching strategies, child development and inclusive education. I also have practical experience working as a primary school Learning Support Officer and Lead Outside School Hours Care Educator, supporting children with a wide range of learning abilities, needs and personalities.
My teaching approach is patient, flexible and tailored to each student's individual strengths, challenges and learning goals. I use a combination of hands-on activities, visual resources, guided practice and positive reinforcement to make learning enjoyable and accessible. I particularly enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may find challenging.
My lessons typically run for 45–60 minutes, depending on the student's age, attention span and learning needs. Each session can include reviewing previous learning, introducing or reinforcing key concepts, practicing skills and celebrating progress.
I offer tutoring for primary school students from 2 to Year 6, particularly in English, reading, writing, spelling and 2-4 mathematics. I am also passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs, including children who benefit from additional structure, encouragement and individualized learning strategies.
My goal is not simply to help students complete their schoolwork, but to develop their independence, confidence and enjoyment of learning.
