About Alison
I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember. I enjoy helping people improve their maths and English skills and have developed a range of strategies to help my students succeed. I like to link my lessons to my students interests where possible as this makes the learning more interesting.

I completed my teaching degree in 2010 and have worked as both a supply teacher, and more recently as a tutor in both Primary and Secondary schools. I have been tutoring for 9 years now and have built up a bank of skills in this area. I can teach English and Maths to both Primary and Secondary students and have been successful in helping students achieve the grades that they are hoping for.
I deliver my lessons online using a website that allows students to revisit the lessons if they want to recap something and this has the double bonus of building a searchable revision bank for them as well. My lessons are typically 1 hour long but I can be flexible with this to suit the students needs.
