About Daniel
With ten years of teaching experience and a MA in Ed. focusing on curriculum and instruction, I am a versatile career educator. I have worked as an education specialist and lead teacher in elementary and early childcare settings while spending my summers teaching art to children ages 6 to 16. In each of these various roles, my goals are to promote inclusive, equitable education and to celebrate individuality. Empathy, patience, flexibility and creativity are the heart of my practice.
Throughout my career I have enjoyed collaborating with parents to provide the best possible care and education for their children. In addition to the countless informal checkins that have made up my every day as an early educator, I am experienced in parent/teacher conferences, IEP meetings, team meetings. I have worked alongside social workers, behavioral therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, art and music therapists, and special educators. Through these collaborations I have cultivated an effective tool-kit for helping children with a wide range of challenges to take the next steps in their development.

It is true: no one knows your children as well as you parents do. Still, Every parent can use some support. Would your family benefit from adding the expertise and perspective of an experienced educator?
There is never one and only one best way to help a child. Every single child and family is unique. My practice in helping families address their children's needs is grounded in celebrating this individuality. I approach each family with an open mind, a readiness to be flexible, and an earnest desire to help. This help may focus on a combination of the following: socio-emotional growth, behavior management, self-regulation, play, school readiness, early academics, and language development. My work may consist of consultations, direct instruction, and practice. To start, we need to talk to each other. As I come to understand your family's circumstances I will develop an action plan for moving forward.
