First session with student Derek covered topics in graphing functions given functional form and expression of first and second derivatives. Student was aware of relationship between sign of first and second derivative and shape of function. Minimum, maximum, and points of inflection were covered. Some multiple choice and story problems were covered dealing with these topics. Student shows good understanding of all concepts and just needs more practise with those examples.
