About Harper
I am an experienced tutor for both Middle and High School, certified by the Open Society University Network. I have received awards and opportunities based on my writing abilities, including the Lifetime Learning Institute Grant, and have been accepted to competitive internship programs. I am currently a student at Trinity College Dublin studying PPES (Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology) specializing in Philosophy and Political Science. My work has been published in multiple student publications, zines, and non-school publications. I also am the editor of Trinity's Art and Literature magazine.

My teaching method is interpersonal. I aim to understand areas of strength and identify places for improvement to efficiently and expertly develop student's skills, and hopefully help them develop a love of writing!
A typical lesson will vary based on student needs. However, as an example, time with a student seeking assistance with school-related assignments looks like starting with a brief focused free write. I find this opens the mind and gets things started in a creative and fun way. Then, school assignments are examined and planned for, if applicable. For essay guidance, I go through essay structure and outlining techniques, or provide edits and feedback: depending on the stage.
I teach grades 6 to 12.
