About Riley

I am Riley, a native Mandarin speaker with a postgraduate degree in Education and several years of experience in teaching and curriculum development. My lessons are clear, structured, and tailored to each learner’s goals, whether they are beginners, exam candidates, or motivated self-learners. Students value my patient and supportive teaching style, as well as my ability to explain language concepts in a simple, practical way. I aim to make Mandarin learning both effective and enjoyable, helping students build confidence and real communication skills step by step. I’m excited to help you build confidence and make real progress in your Chinese learning journey!

About the lesson

As a native Mandarin speaker with a postgraduate degree in Education, I design my lessons to be clear, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I focus on practical communication, accurate pronunciation, and a solid understanding of grammar and vocabulary. My teaching methodology combines structured explanations, real-life examples, spaced repetition, and interactive practice to help students gain confidence in using Chinese in everyday situations.

A typical lesson includes vocabulary building, speaking practice, listening tasks, and personalised feedback. I adjust the pace and difficulty depending on the student’s level and learning goals, ensuring steady progress while keeping the class enjoyable.

I have several years of experience in education, including curriculum development and language teaching. This background enables me to explain concepts clearly and create lesson plans suited to different learning styles.
