About Joe
Hi, I’m Joe — a native British English tutor originally from Cambridge.
I mainly help adult learners (B1–C1) who already understand English quite well but struggle to speak fluently, naturally, and with confidence in real conversations.
I’ve spent most of my 20s travelling, living abroad, and learning languages myself. I speak French fluently and I’m currently improving my Spanish and Russian, so I know first-hand how frustrating it can be to “know English” but still feel blocked when speaking.
My lessons are relaxed, practical, and focused on helping you express your real ideas in natural British English — not just textbook sentences.
I’m easy-going, patient, and I genuinely enjoy helping students feel comfortable speaking with native speakers.

I offer one-to-one online English lessons for adults, focused mainly on speaking and confidence.
Lessons are conversational and practical, with gentle correction, useful vocabulary, and clear feedback to help you sound more natural over time.
I have over 3,000 hours of online teaching experience, I’m TEFL-qualified, and I speak with a clear Southern British accent.
The first lesson is relaxed and informal — we get to know each other, discuss your goals, and see if we’re a good fit before making any long-term plan.
