About Kanako

Through my tutoring journey, I found that telling people about my culture and helping people's learning is such a rewarding job. I also like anime and comic books. If the students want, I can use anime scenes for lessons to keep up their interest :-) (Just as an additional option for special time, not for usual class) Here is my review Japanese extension course, HSC Overall, I scored 47/50 in the course which equates to an E4 (the highest possible band in the course) and my mark is generally considered to be a good mark. About the lesson

I am a native Japanese speaker who learned Japanese drama script writing in university. I have also completed the Cambridge Academic English program. I have Japanese teaching experience for non-native people between the ages of 9 years old-26 years. My teaching style is friendly and focuses on creating an environment that rewards curiosity. I study English as a second language, and I love to teach the language and culture of Japan. I can teach Japanese in English and Japanese, depending on your plan and ability. My lesson offers you the following: - High-quality learning materials - Personalized homework and marking - Flexible teaching schedule - Personalized vocabulary/lesson plans What you could learn with me: - Grammar - Japanese alphabets - Conversation practice - Preparation for exams - Kanji reading and writing Level of my lesson I teach Japanese for any level and people. As I graduated from university in Japan, I am able to teach a higher level of Japanese such as essays for high school exams, university entrance exams. I have also experienced teaching kids (primary school and high school students). I use vocabulary cards with cartoon characters and language games for kids' education. This method is also effective for beginner-level Japanese learners to learn vocabulary and to enjoy studying. Textbook I use Genki book, Minna no Nihongo, etc. If you tell me your textbook, I will create a special study plan for you. Length of the class I usually teach one hour × 2 lessons per week. We can discuss the length and frequency of the lesson depending on your plan :) Typical example: 1 hour for $50/week
