About Francesca
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and am a credentialed English teacher with five years of experience teaching Middle School ELA. Originally from San Diego, I recently moved to New York City and am excited to continue supporting students through education. I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for reading and writing. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and growing at their own pace.

My teaching approach is student-centered, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s individual needs and goals. Lessons typically include a brief review, direct instruction, guided practice, independent work, and time for questions and feedback. With five years of Middle School ELA teaching experience, including prior experience working with English learners, I bring patience, creativity, and effective strategies for building confidence and strengthening reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical-thinking skills. My lessons are ideal for middle school students of all ability levels, including English learners, students who need additional academic support, and those seeking enrichment or preparation for assignments and assessments.
