My Approach to Tutoring:
I believe that every student learns differently, so my tutoring approach is centered around personalization. I take the time to understand each student's learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement. From there, I adapt my teaching methods to best suit their needs, ensuring that every lesson is engaging and effective.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
Interactive Problem-Solving:
I guide students through problems step-by-step, encouraging them to think critically and understand the reasoning behind each solution.
Socratic Questioning:
By asking targeted questions, I help students develop a deeper understanding of concepts and learn how to approach problems independently.
Real-World Applications: As a Mechanical Engineering student, I integrate real-world examples to show how mathematical concepts apply in engineering and everyday situations, making lessons more relatable and practical.
Progress Tracking:
I regularly assess students' progress and adjust lesson plans to ensure they are continuously improving and building confidence in their abilities.
Typical Lesson Length:
My lessons typically last 1 hour, which provides ample time to cover key topics, work through examples, and address any questions. For younger students or those with specific needs, I offer shorter sessions to maintain focus.
Qualifications and Experience:
Mechanical Engineering Student with a scholarship, currently pursuing my Master’s degree.
2 years of experience as a personal tutor, specializing in mathematics.
Peer Assisted Learning Facilitator at my university for the last 3 years, leading weekly math and physics lectures for foundation year students.
Achieved top grades in both GCSE and A-level mathematics, including advanced math studies.
Who Are My Lessons For?
I offer tutoring for:
GCSE and A-level students who are looking to improve their results, gain confidence, or excel in advanced mathematics.
Students of all ages who are preparing for exams, need help with homework, or want to build a stronger foundation in math.

Patrick is very personable and easy to talk. He's also very thorough with his work and breaks things down so they're very easily understood. He's a great teacher and I'd reccomend him highly
Studying mechanical engineering (which requires immense mathematical knowledge) is no easy feat, having individual’s like Patrick as your classmate is invaluable.
He’s often a person I and many others turn to when we’re stuck therefore it doesn’t surprise me that he offers tutoring services. His knowledge is not acquired magically but through deliberate practise & core habits, which I’m sure he’ll pass onto you.
If you follow his approaches & do the work, you’d be smiling at your new math grades.View more recommendations
