About Segun

My name is Segun, and I am a graduate of the University of Lagos with a B.Sc. in Mathematics. I have a genuine passion for teaching and helping students overcome their fear of mathematics. I believe every student can succeed when concepts are explained clearly and patiently.

I am friendly, approachable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students achieve excellent examination results but also to develop their confidence, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Segun, and I hold a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Lagos. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in mathematics by making difficult concepts easy to understand through clear, step-by-step explanations.

My teaching approach is student-centered. I begin by assessing each student's current level of understanding, identifying areas of difficulty, and then creating lessons that match their learning pace and academic goals. Rather than encouraging memorization, I focus on helping students understand the underlying concepts so they can solve problems independently and confidently.

During each lesson, I explain concepts using simple language, worked examples, and guided practice. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and provide additional exercises to reinforce what they have learned. I also share useful exam techniques, time-management strategies, and problem-solving methods that help students perform well in tests and examinations.

A typical lesson lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and the topics being covered. Every lesson is structured to include concept explanation, worked examples, practice questions, and a review of key points.

My academic background in mathematics has equipped me with a strong understanding of subjects such as algebra, calculus, statistics, real analysis, complex analysis, linear algebra, and differential equations. I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their mathematical skills.
