About Hally

I've been a math teacher for 10 years. I started my career in 2011, taught until 2019 and have been doing private tutoring since. I've tutored over 30 students and taught over 1000 in my classroom.

Most kids hate math. I get it! It's confusing, especially now with some of the Common Core Standards. But when you know how to break it down in to bite-sized chunks, make it fun & understandable, math becomes simply an enjoyable puzzle that becomes fun to solve (eye roll... I know. You don't think math could ever be fun.) Give me a call, I'd love the opportunity to change your mind and help you go from frustrated and stuck to a confident problem solver.

Hate math? I'm your Make Math Make Sense Gal. Together we will break down complex concepts to their individual steps and help you grasp each piece so you can go from frustrated & stuck to confident & successful.

With 10 years of experience, I've privately tutored over 30 students and taught more than 1000 students in my classrooms. I specialize in making challenging math concepts approachable, digestible, and, most importantly—fun! My goal is to help math click for all my students and help you feel confident—even if math feels frustrating right now.

Struggling to solve equations? Let's play a game of Survivor instead to find the value of x! Fractions got you cross-eyed? We'll grab some M&M's & Twix bars, divvy them up and suddenly it will all make sense. Decimals slowing you down? We’ll race with building blocks to see how numbers stack up in the real world.

Whether it's elementary/middle arithmatic or high school level algebra (my favorite by the way :) I'm the Make Math Make Sense Gal, and together, we’ll conquer math one enjoyable session at a time!
