About Meri
Teaching found me when I had my children. I could see that they were seen as less, marginalised and already pigeon-holed not to succeed. I was determined that I would train to become the teacher I wish my tamariki had.

I am passionate about te reo Māori me ōna tikanga. I am a second language learner with 10 years plus experience within Māori-medium education. My current role is Deputy Principal, and I have a Baechelour in Teaching with a Masters degree in Education (Māori).
