About Silvia
Ciao! My name is Silvia, I'm Italian but I live in London.
I studied Philosophy at uni in Glasgow and St Andrews, but I've been teaching Italian part-time for the past three years.
I have been teaching as a volunteer for Language4Water, and I have taught online for Coffee Break Languages.
I am very passionate about sharing my love for my culture and language. I know Italian can be a difficult language to learn, and that's why I offer simple and effective explanations, plenty of examples, and the possibility to work at your own pace.
I believe in a holistic approach including not only grammar and vocabulary, but also idioms, proverbs, and culture. You will be fully immersed in the Italian culture so that you can speak like a real Italian!

Are you learning Italian for an exam, a holiday, or a new job?
Whatever the reason, I will make sure you get the best personalised experience to reach your goals!
I usually include a mix of vocabulary and grammar, with practice in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. You will learn idioms, culture, and how to sound like a real Italian!
Lessons are typically 1 hour each, and my lessons are open to every level and age.
I have been teaching Italian online and in person for three years now for different companies.
Looking forward to speak Italian together!

Silvia is a competent, engaging, and reliable teacher. Our sessions together, which she tailored to my current level (intermediate) and learning preferences, gave me a confidence boost and helped me get a better sense of Italian grammar and syntax. I also learned many interesting facts about Italian culture.
I would warmly recommend her to anyone wishing to work on their Italian. Grazie, Silvia!Ciao! Silvia is an excellent Italian tutor. She is patient, careful, and knowledgeable about the most effective and immediately useful methods of teaching a language. Her passion for Italian is obvious, and I'm thankful for the effort she puts into her lessons. I can now (almost) understand what's happening at the Sanremo festival! I recommend her very highly for beginners and intermediate learners.
