About Collin
I am a professional violinist and former lead singer of a nationally touring band, performing more than one thousand shows across forty-eight states, Canada, and the United Kingdom. My work has been featured in Rolling Stone, Associated Press, and No Depression, and I have collaborated with Grammy-winning producers and musicians. I have also produced and recorded original string arrangements on multiple studio albums.
Outside of music, I am a father of two and a NICU dad to a former twenty-four-week premature baby, an experience that shaped my perspective on patience and resilience. I am also a triathlete and marathon runner who enjoys the process of long-term growth and steady improvement. In my free time, I enjoy good coffee, spending time with family, and playing mandolin, guitar, and singing in addition to violin.

I am a Suzuki trained violinist with over twelve years of full time international touring experience and more than five years of private teaching experience. I specialize in building strong foundations for beginner and early intermediate students through tone development, intonation training, ear training, and healthy technique. Lessons are structured yet relaxed so students feel confident and supported rather than pressured.
I teach classical repertoire, traditional fiddle music, improvisation, and contemporary styles, and I am happy to learn music that excites each individual student. Whether you are a young beginner or an adult starting for the first time, my goal is to help you develop skill, musical understanding, and long term confidence on the instrument.
