About COVENANT
Hello! My name is Covenant Johnson, and I am a passionate Computer Science and ICT instructor, web developer, and technology enthusiast based in Nigeria.
I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. Alongside my studies, I work as an ICT instructor at EDSEC ICT Institute, where I help students develop practical computer skills and understand modern technology.
I hold the Google IT Support Professional Certificate and have completed professional training in Computer Networking and Cybersecurity through Cisco Networking Academy.
Beyond teaching, I have hands-on experience in web development and software engineering. I work with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, TypeScript, and databases to develop websites and digital applications.
My experience building real-world projects allows me to teach students not only theoretical concepts but also how technology is applied in practical situations.
Why I Love Teaching
I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to understand technology, regardless of their background or previous experience.
One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is seeing a student progress from struggling with a concept to confidently applying it independently.
I understand that programming and computer science can sometimes seem difficult, especially for beginners. That's why I focus on patience, encouragement, clear explanations, and practical learning.
My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving their skills.

HOW MY LESSONS WORK
Each lesson is personalised to your current knowledge and learning objectives.
For beginners, I start with the fundamentals and gradually introduce more advanced concepts.
For programming students, I use live coding demonstrations, practical exercises, and real-world projects to help you understand how websites and applications are developed.
For students learning Microsoft Office, I provide guided exercises that teach you how to create professional documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
For Computer Science and ICT students, I explain difficult concepts in simple language and provide guidance with coursework, assignments, and examination preparation.
TYPICAL LESSON STRUCTURE
Introduction and review of previous lessons — 5 minutes.
Explanation of new concepts — 15 minutes.
Practical demonstrations and guided exercises — 20 minutes.
Questions, corrections, and feedback — 10 minutes.
Summary and assignment — 10 minutes.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although lesson duration can be adjusted to suit individual learning needs.
