About Charlie
My name is Charlie Burton and I am 21 years old. I graduated high school in NSW in 2019 with an ATAR of 95.50 and am currently completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English Literature at the University of Melbourne. I feel I was exceptionally lucky with regards to my schooling experience in that I was naturally quite intelligent and resonated with standardised schooling. I understand this is not a universal experience. As such, I love teaching because I view it as an amazing opportunity to engage students who perhaps aren't as confident at school and in their studies; hoping to instil within them the same passion for learning that was engrained into me when I was younger.

I understand that all students learn in a wide variety of different ways. As such, I like to tailor my sessions to each student so as to give them the best chance at absorbing the information and improving. Not being so far removed from high school myself, I feel I still have a pretty intimate understanding of the struggles and difficulties that characterise the schooling experience. I aim to connect with each student in order to help them navigate through these difficulties. At the risk of sounding immodest, I feel I can say with assurance that my lessons are fun, informative, and interesting! I have had great success with my students in the past and I look forward to working with any prospective students.
