About Eva
I am a final year History student with much experience in giving English lessons to people of all ages. I have taught English to children as young as six which allowed me to follow the national curriculum in more creative ways. Last year I spent a year in Paris and taught adults with various levels of English. We analysed texts and engaged in debates. I am passionate about learning and enjoy watching my students develop their skills.

Depending on the age and ability of the pupil, I have various methodologies. With younger children, I find that encouragement is key. We read stories together and discuss them, then, in written form, answer comprehension questions. Creative writing is also an effective way of encouraging grammar and spelling development. For adults, I prefer debates and discussions. We read articles together, taking it in turns, and discuss our opinions. Written comprehension questions are also useful. Sometimes the students enjoy writing short essays so that I can mark them. Overall, I encourage mistakes because, by making mistakes, we find our weaknesses and learn from them in a constructive way.
